Social activities

Socials

We love to lawn bowl and we also love to party! There are eight regularly scheduled social events throughout the year (over and above the occasional hot dog Saturdays). These include Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Founders Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Homecoming and Christmas. These are large events featuring either a luncheon or dinner and some may be preceded or followed by bowling. There are also numerous other events during the year.
These occur a various times during the year. Check the club calendar for updated information and points of contact.

Mah Jongg

An ancient Chinese game played with tiles. Its been called “the easiest game to learn and the hardest to master”. No sign up, no cost – just come join the 12-20 regulars – we always welcome new learners. And its fun!
Every Tuesday at 12:30pm. In the clubhouse. POC: Anne Reilly

Bunco

Las Vegas too rich for you? You’ll love Bunco then. Its a fast-paced dice game you’ll be sure to enjoy. Players rotate opponents so it’s a great way to meet different people, and with 4 winners each time you can’t lose! Each person brings $1.00 and a snack if you like. No sign up necessary – just show up and we’ll teach you how to play.
Check club calendar for dates and time. Often is preceded by dinner at a local restaurant. Check the club calendar. POC: Lee and Jan Kline.

Bridge

This is not expert play, so if you just like to play Bridge for fun, this is the group for you. This daytime enjoyment will only cost you 50 cents – now, that’s a great price. You don’t need to be a “couple” either – bring a pal for a partner. No sign up necessary.

Usually, the 1st & 3rd Wednesday at 11:30 (October-April). POC: Donna Brown

Euchre

An easy and fun card game. We can teach you in one lesson. Both couples and singles enjoy the game. Just bring a dollar for the “kitty” and a snack to share. Sign up on the bulletin board at the Pavillion.

1st & 3rd Mondays at 6:30pm in the clubhouse. POC: Tricia Eustice

Trivia

Trivia is a fun evening for everyone. Teams of four chosen randomly compete for token cash prizes. Bring a dollar for the ‘kitty’ and a snack to share!
