Bowling at Mount Dora

Pill Bowling

Pill bowling makes up the majority of our games. It involves the formation of teams by bowlers drawing rink numbers. This is a time to show off your talents in a fun but competitive environment. Attire does not need to be white, and shirts/tops do not need to have a collar (i.e., T-shirts are allowed). Whites are worn for all tournament play.
Various hours depending on the season. There are both morning and evening hours during the winter, and morning and evening games during the summer. See the Home Page for the specific times.

Club Tournaments

Tournaments the club runs, such as Ladies’ Triples or Men’s Pairs, are open only to club members. It’s a chance for you to see how you compare with some of our more proficient bowlers. The games also present winners with certificates and/or prizes.

The Southeast Division (SED) and Bowls USA also sponsor open tournaments for which all active members are eligible.

As scheduled. See the Tournaments page for this year’s dates.

Invitational Tournaments

Besides open tournaments, we also hold invitationals. Examples of these are the annual Holiday Bowl and several reciprocal games with other clubs in our division.

As scheduled. See the Tournaments page for this year’s dates.

League Bowling

We encourage all active bowlers by holding a Home League consisting of triples teams. We also participate in the North Central Florida League.

As scheduled. See the Tournaments page for this year’s dates.

Practice!

Active members may practice on their own whenever a rink is available.
